Kilma Barfield McCutchen

Savannah- Kilma Barfield McCutchen, 69, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Memorial University Medical Center after a long illness, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Atlanta, GA on November 16, 1946 to Dr. William E. Barfield and Ellen Ryan. She attended St. Vincent’s Academy and worked at Memorial Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist and later as a Pediatric Nurse at Pediatric Associates until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny McCutchen, sister, Therese Brown, and brother, Billy Barfield.

Surviving are her daughter, Megan McCarthy (John); sons, David A. McCutchen, III (Alison), and Michael McCutchen (Chrissy), her daughter-in-law, Lin Zhao, 9 grandchildren, a brother, Craig Barfield (Jan), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, 11 West Back St., Savannah, GA 31419. Burial will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to The Carmelite Monastery, 11 West Back St., Savannah, GA 31419.
